COLDFUSION / FLEX APPLICATION DEVELOPER

You will be working in a highly-skilled team environment and will be responsible for producing browser-based software solutions to realize web site design and interface concepts.  Despite the intense give-and-take that characterizes the typical day at New Media Team, there’s an atmosphere that is relaxed and informal.  What matters most is the work; making it inventive, making it cool, and seeing it succeed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Independently and as part of a team create custom web applications.
• Document created applications.
• Participate in client meetings.
• Collaborate on R&D.
• Show up for work on-time; work late when you are notsatisfied with your work and the deadline is tomorrow.
• Be positive; be fun to work with; be relaxed, but not lackadaisical
• Understand our customers, their needs and that they are more important than anything else we do.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:

• HTML
• 1+ yrs Adobe Flex 2 experience.
• 2 + yrs. ColdFusion MX experience plus one other server-side scripting language
• At least one Coldfusion Framework preferably FuseBox
• 2 + yrs. hands-on experience with SQL based databases, transactions and stored procedures
• GUI design experience
• Connectivity and data access for SQL Server
• JavaScript
• ActionScript 3.0

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

Rich internet application experience using:

• Flash Remoting
• XML
• J2EE Java

Development tools experience:

• CFEclipse
• Flex Builder 2
• Enterprise Manager
• Macromedia Studio 8: Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash Professional 8

GRAVY SKILLS:

PHP, Perl, Python, ASP / ASP.NET, VB, VB.NET, C/C++, C#, Linux, web application security, SSL,, Java, basic computer networking, web farms / clustering, video encoding / trans coding / streaming, search engine optimization.
